St. Stephen Cathedral Youth

Another great turn out at Holy Family Adoration.
People are singing more and feeling more and more comfortable being before the Blessed Sacrament. Pray that this outreach to our families, our youth, and people of all ages will grow and be a blessing for our parish and our diocese.

This evening we had a great evening at the bowling alley. We had over 12 youth come with us.
After a great meal at the parish fish fry, we loaded up in cars and went over to Diamond Lanes.
We filled up two lanes and pretty much everyone bowled. All who attended had a great time.
It is a great joy for the youth of our parish and their friends to be together.
Stay tuned for future youth events.

Well, we just completed the first Middle School event last evening. We watched the "Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" at the youth house. There were about 13 youth who turned out and we had three chaperons. This was our first Middle School event and it was a great success. One mother commented to me that because her child could not come, she would not even mention the event to her because the child would be so disappointed. That was great to hear.

Our next large event is the Middle School Lockin at the YMCA Feb. 5. All parents are encouraged to turn in forms for their children who plan to come.

At the end of January we will begin our Holy Family Adoration. We will meet most Sunday evenings at 6:30 for a holy hour filled with great music, talks from other youth, and we will provide child care. We are encouraging all families, young people, and people of all ages to come and pray together. We hope to see you Jan. 31 at 6:30. We will have a short social after the Holy Hour. Andy Couch will lead the music.
